Clinical SERVICES
I am a Registered Clinical and Health Psychologist in the province of Ontario. I am only able to provide clinical services to residents of Ontario. I am a scientist-practitioner who provides psychological services that are informed by the latest research findings and conducts research on clinically relevant issues. I provide psychosocial treatments to adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of psychological and medical issues including the following:
Eating Disorders
Bulimia Nervosa
Binge Eating Disorder
Obesity
Body Image Concerns
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Anxiety Disorders
Social Anxiety
Depression
Stress
Perfectionism
I am certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) by the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CACBT). I take a collaborative, cognitive-behavioural approach to treatment and frequently incorporate motivational interviewing strategies to help prepare individuals for CBT when ambivalence about making changes poses a barrier to treatment.
Appointments
A referral is not required to seek services. You can self-refer by calling 416-206-6090 or sending a message through my contact page. Sessions are typically scheduled for 50 minutes.
FeeS
Fees for psychological assessment and treatment are $250 (50 minute session). Payment is accepted by cash or e-transfer. A detailed invoice and receipt will be provided for each session.
If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment that has been scheduled for you, it is important that you provide at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged 50% of the session rate.
INSURANCE Coverage
Psychologists' fees are not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP). However, many private insurance plans, such as those offered through workplaces and universities, provide partial or full reimbursement for services provided by Registered Psychologists. A detailed invoice and receipt will be provided for each session that you can submit for reimbursement if you have private insurance coverage. It is recommended that you consult with your Human Resources Department or insurance provider to discuss the amount of coverage you receive and the procedure for submitting an insurance claim.
